can you really believe its already november?! i can't! i feel like this year has passed by in a blink of an eye. amazing. well can i just start out by saying how much i love family? i'm lucky to have mine close by, but this past week we had the chance to play with both of our families so it made it even better. kylie came down from california for the weekend, and ryan's family came up from boulder city for jillian's baby blessing. it was a busy busy time, but way fun bouncing from one event to the next.
here is a small recap--it all started in the freezing cold weather of ry's ultimate frisbee game on thursday night. have i told you how great they are doing? they are undefeated so far! pretty exciting. the playoffs just started this past week, and the games seem to be getting a little more intense! ryan has alot of fun playing with his old roommates and friends, and i enjoy watching from the sidelines. typically we have 4-5 wives/girlfriends bundled up, im talkin 4 blankets and a big coat on most of the late nights, nonetheless we are happily cheering for our boys. :) its a good time!
so on friday night in celebration of having my baby sister home, we had my family up to my parents house in alpine and for a big salmon dinner. mm gotta love my dad's salmon! soo good. its always fun to play with my siblings and their little girls.. the only thing that would have been better was to have ryan up there with us. ya, work tends to put a sad little damper on things every once in a while, but the night had a great topper in the end! after ry got off work, we had mark and deb over for our own little halloween celebration. with a bowl of popcorn, caramel apples, chips and salsa, hot coco and a scary movie, how could you go wrong?! :) of course after watching the movie, i was a little nervous to leave the apt after the sun went down, but hey, its all worth it.
i have a little confession.. don't judge me but for some reason halloween has never been my favorite holiday, ya ya, i know.. but i will admit that this year it actually turned out to be pretty fun! we went up to lehi saturday night and spent some time with ryan's family. whitney's adorable little boys got all dressed up and ready in their costumes, we had a power ranger, ninja turtle, and sponge bob! so cute. ryan and his siblings took the boys out trick-or-treating while the inlaws had a chance to hang out back at the house. haha kinda funny how that worked out. we had a good time though. later that night we stopped by the hoppin party at leah's to see my brother and his families costumes of the mermaid theme. prince eric, ursala, kaylee was arial and kenny was flounder " because she's chubby" as kaylee would say. haha i wish i had some pictures to upload for you, but i'll have to work on that for next time. :)
overall its been a great week. i've loved having the stewarts here and getting a chance to hang out with my sister again. LA is just tooo far away, i hate it. im looking forward to seeing what thanksgiving and the christmas holidays have in store. life is good!
i remember some of the songs and dance moves from when i did footloose in high school. it probably wasnt a good thing though!
We finally got moved into our apartment and all of our presents are opened and put away. we only have about 3 presents to return and then that mess is over! we love our apartment! mark says its dejavu for him to come over.
We are currently accepting visits! we would love to have anyone come over and we have plenty of brand new appliances that we are happy to get dirty for you!
my mom and little sister were in town for whitney's baby and on the way out of town on sunday they stopped by to say hi. we also had my cousins caleb and jared come over for sunday dinner. they are new freshmen that just barely moved to provo. halie is nice enough to let the boys come over for some food and a little n64.
